...me.

Playing basketball. 3 mins in I trip up. Grazes on knee.

Arm hurts. Play on for a bit. Try to catch a few balls and christ it hurt.

Turns out, a broken elbow and sprained wrist.

Ouch.

3 minutes? You played for 3 mins and took yourself out? Wow, just wow.

More seriously, I broke my elbow a few years back and I can confirm that it is indeed, fecking painful. That's at least 6 weeks of the bike too. Bummer. Get well ASAP.

My eldest brother (when he was very young) was playing football, an organised team match... he kicked off, caught his foot, tripped up and broke his leg.

In plaster for weeks, unable to play for months. First game back, someone else kicked off and passed him the ball, he caught his foot, tripped up, broke his leg (same leg, same place).

    He stopped playing after that.

No. I'm on work insurance. But don't have details. And it was Sunday. can pay myself and get reimbursed but Sunday morning hsbc cancelled my card due to an hsbc security breach which comprised some cards.

  • Get well soon, Rick. I broke mine about eight weeks back, it was an open fracture of the olecranon which required surgery to fix up. I was mountain biking and my front wheel went on a patch of gravel. Rode down the mountain to my car one-handed, where a colleague kindly drove me to hospital.

I was lucky, mine was surprisingly pain-free. The look on the nurses face when she asked me to say how painful it was on a scale of 1-10, and I replied, "I dunno, maybe a 2 or a 3? I mean, I know it's there, but it's fine." Several guys at work now think I'm the terminator.

Five weeks later, I was back on the bike with almost full mobility (but the triceps of a girly-man). It gets stiff every now and then, and I have a load of metalwork that may or may not need removing at some point - but it's OK.
