hi all,

i've been working on a location tracking app similar to instamapper that once existed. It's called mapper and is free in the apple app store.

https://itunes.apple.com/gb/app/mapper/id649524893?mt=8

Currently it's set to update location every 25 metres (when in background) but will be adding in future version to make this an user setting instead.

Any feedback would be great.

Thanks

So does the cyclist being tracked and the person tracking both require the app? Any plans for an Android version? I can imagine it being a very useful safety tool for people going off road in particular (or for the wife to be able to time having my tea on the table to perfection when I'm riding home from work!).

Just the person being tracked requires the app, the viewers just require any web-enabled device.

No plans for an Android version yet but when I get some time after the Marmotte i'll look into it.

Yes, LocaToWeb is a real time tracker for Windows Phone, Android and iPhone. It's a great app that enables family and friends to track you exact location while riding. The web site also gives you an account (if you want to) where you have an archive of all your tracks. You can also capture photos, see duration, distance, speed, average and altitude as well as your location and route on a map. It is at http://locatoweb.com
