What wheels do I have - Trek 2.1

I have a Trek Madone 2.1 2013. I'm looking to upgrade the wheelset to something lighter and better for climbing but before I do I'd like to find out what wheels I have now so I know that'll I will actually be buying an upgrade and not something the same; or worse!

The specification just says "Aluminium hubs w/Bontrager Approved aluminium rims" there are no marking on the rims except stickers saying "Bontrager".

    You are most likely to have Bontrager SSR. When it says ''approved' it essentially means they're not really trek wheels but 2kg plus hunks of metal. Virtually anything from mavic askium onwards would represent a significant improvement.
