after finding my front tyre flat as a pancake when i awoke this morning i am now needing to stock up on some tyres and tubes. now im pretty happy with my yksion tyres but i am open to suggestions at the same price £26 and my tubes i have generally stuck with the mavic ones, but i am certainly open to new suggestions there or even a suggested combo . i really hate getting flats but dont want to over compensate. the gators i use at winter seem good but thinking they are generally pretty slow in comparison to what i would want in the summer?

The Continental GP4000s is a popular summer choice.

Probably not a massively popular choice but I've been using gp4 seasons 25mm for the last 6 months and have found them superb, hard wearing and good for uk roads.

GP4000s for grip and speed, GP 4 seasons for the side wall protection and long wear life. Tubes use whatever you like so long as it holds air it's good. I personally use Conti tubes but they all work so long as they inflate uniformly.

Highly recommend latex tubes, really improves ride quality and because they're more supple they should help you avoid punctures.

I've got a pair of these I use on my TCR for autumn/winter and they are great tyres. No ruined tyres yet from Chiltern flint. I also use GP4000s in spring and summer, and they are great tyres too - lovely supple ride. But I wouldn't dream of using them in winter in Chilterns. For really rough weather I've got an old set of wheels with Gatorskin hardshells, and I even punctured those a couple of times this winter :o

I've got GP4000S with Supersonic tubes on the Rourke and GP 4 Seasons with Race tubes on the Condor/winter/wet bike. Take your pick...

Can't say there is much better to be had at that price the the Yksion tyres, Schwalbe durano S, Vittoria Evo or Velofex corsa maybe?
I'm sorry you don't believe in miracles
