IMO the Storck still looks more 'pro' and more expensive

Problem with Storcks is that they all have quite ridiculous geometry. Unless you are an orangutan you will probably need to run a 90mm stem to get a proper fit. E.g, the size 55 has a 566mm effective top tube with a 73.5 seat tube angle, which makes the reach about 15-20mm longer than on most bikes with otherwise similar dimensions.

I'm not sure if the price of this one but the development in line with the aventador is €35,000 if you buy it with a current model or €50,000 off the shelf.

tour magazine votes german bike best shock!

tour reviews can be interesting, often with some good objective testing, but there's also the entertainment value in trying to guess how the various test results will then be weighted to arrive at the correct overall result

The Storck is £7k for frame and forks; so more tangeable than the BMC/Lambo nonsense.

My daughter would disagree, she is very happy with her new bike, pink Barbie one with dolly seat.... eBay special £20

Just a shame the older one wants a bike like mine or better.

Markus says that they're designed to be run with in-line posts.

FWIW Storck wins that award almost every year, although I've yet to hear a bad word about their bikes.

I thought there could only be one.

    Still:

A little less expensive than the Storck.

    They were joint winners: http://www.tour-magazin.de/technik/test_center/komponenten/rahmen/rahmen-das-beste-rennrad-der-welt-2012/a16845.html

Also for the sake of parity the 'dale was an Evo Ultimate which is pricer than the standard and the Storck comes with brakes (integrated) and the Power Arms crankset.

If I had £10k burning a hole in my pocket and had to choose one of those, it would be the Storck.

Think you would get laughed at if you told someone you spent £10k on a Cannondale.

In 2012 the same evo frame was used throughout the range (so the Pauls cycles frame is exactly the same as the Evo ultimate frameset albeit with different paint work) and I would not pay extra for the integrated brakes or the power arms crankset.

TBH I would take the tour magazine proclamation with a pinch of salt - not sure if they have tested the C59 for example. They seem to like Storck (best frame ever):

Yes I would laugh at you - because the evo ultimate can be had for £2000 less than the Storck frameset:

    And?

What's the problem with being different and riding what you want? I'm in the market for a new frameset and could buy an Evo, but it doesn't remotely appeal to me. I prefer to be a bit different which is why I'm looking at Storck and WyndyMilla. The Evo may be cheaper, but I would never be happy with it so it's a waste of money regardless of price.

I never said anything about being different or riding what you want, the only point I making is that tour magazine are comparing a limited number of framesets which differ vastly in price. I would go further to say that ride preference is very much a personal thing and for that reason alone I would not take "the best bike in the world" assertions made by tour magazine so seriously. I note that you prefer to be a bit different - that is why I assume you ride Scotts then.

Don't you think the fact that there was a tie between those two bikes means that they weren't just after halo bikes?

At least a Giant didn't win which is pretty much all that happens in publications on these shores...

Integrated brakes, what a lavish piece of cxxp to show your mates before heading for a statutory 1.5 laps at Richmond park... I can only imagine what a PITA they are to clean, maintain and replace the pads and cables... sounds to me as good as those TVs with an integrated VHS recorder... anyone remember them? Anyone ever found them any better than a TV+VHS recorder?
But who cares... the aero advantage is surely worth 1 full, round and juicy second over 25 mile

Integrated brakes is the next logical step as it's trickle down from TT frames. The Propel has them too (although unlike the Storck's the Giants don't work for crap).

As amazing as I find the 0.6 it is a shame that anyone can get one. They should vet their buyers so they don't end up doing the Richmond Park lap... Such a waste...

Actually that is now out of date and has been outshone by a slightly cheaper Storck.

I was actually considering the 0.6 but was a bit hesitant with the integrated brakes, love the look but not sure on the maintenance.

The latest and greatest is the Storck Aernario Platinum as below.

    http://www.storck-bicycle.de/en/web-anz ... ad%20Bikes

I intend on getting this later in the year, planning on pairing it with some AX-lightness wheels.

Best deal I have seen so far, once the wheels are swapped out obviously.
