Being a bit of an idiot i bled my brakes earlier and managed to get some mineral oil on the pads. So far all ive done is clean the rotor and excess fluid away. Is there a way to save the pads them or should I just get a new set?

Most people will say scrap them, but I have managed to recover pads by soaking them in petrol for 24 hours, cleaning off and then baking in the oven on max for 30 mins.......

petrol, oven, what could possibly go wrong  Think ill just play it safe and get a new set, the haribos tempted me.

spray muc off on the pads, rub them together, kitchen towel off the muc off.... do it a couple of times and they'll be fine.

Sandpaper and then quick blast with brake cleaner and a blow torch

But at five quid for new pads its not worth the effort
