Er......from both strangely angled photos the red circle is around the chainstay. As the bike is a HT you can't replace this.

Is it not a chain stay protector plate for carbon frames? To prevent damage from chain suck?

What i am searching for is this metal plate that is used to protect the frame against chain suck.

I bought a Spark 900 RC 2013 Frame and it didnt came with this part.
On the last race that id raced my chain gave me 2 beautiful scratches on the carbon frame.

I am searching for a piece of metal or alloy that i can fix on that part of the frame with 3m "double face" tape.

    Any ideas ?

    Thanks all !!

err yes that is what we told you it was.

talk to the seller it should have come with the frame. they should be able to get you another one.

Thanks for the reply Nick, I was looking at some pictures all over internet and ive only saw this metal plate on the Scale Rc Frames, my frame is a Spark Rc, i dont think it comes with this metal plate.

I am searching for ideas to build one on my own. I dont want to use old tibes with nylon zip tites.

Any ideas about what material to use or where can i buy one of this ?

    Thanks !

    Eimart,
Not sure where you are based in the world, but if it were me i would go to your local DIY superstore and buy some Alloy plate (you can buyit off the internet as well)

    http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/aluminium-sheet-plate-100mm-x-100mm-x-3mm/261219385563?rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.m1851&_trkparms=aid%3D222002%26algo%3DSIC.FIT%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D74%26meid%3D8393413431246948701%26pid%3D100005%26prg%3D1152%26rk%3D3%26sd%3D321058981593%26

I would then cur it to size and tidy up with a file and emery cloth to remove the sharp edges. You can then stick it to the frame with some 3M tape. Total cost would be about £5 and you an replace them as and when they get trashed. You could use stainless but its very hard to cut without some really good tools and weighs a load!

    Why not ask Scott directly...http://www.scott-sports.com/gb/en/dealers/locator/

If they have frame protectors on their website I would be surprised if they do not have options to purchase replacement frame parts like a chainsuck chainstay cover.http://www.scott-sports.com/gb/en/categ ... tors_2013/
