spokes screws visible : is this normal ?
Hi everyone !
This is a newbie question. I recently bought a second hand bike and very quickly had 2 flats on both wheels. I quickly realized that there is something wrong : first, there is no rim tape...
But second, I notice that the spoke screws are visible, is this normal ? I have never seen this

What do you think guys ? Obviously the screws are helping the punctures of the inner chambers...
So do I just need to buy some rim tape ?
Thanks !

The picture is normal, yep you just need to buy rim tape. Just check there ar no screw threads popping out of the top of the screws (which I doubt there is). Hope it helps0

PS should have added the rim looks like its only got a single skin e.g. the spoke screws will be visible as opposed to a double skin rim where for teh majority the screw will be hidden in between the inner and outer skin.0

Without rim tape on those wheels I doubt any tube would last very long at all. I'm also thinking that it had better be some very sturdy rim tape to avoid being torn up by the nipples and causing more flats.0
