Hi,

I just brought a hard tail entry level bike 3 months ago and in the next few months probably be saving up to get a full suspense bike.

Ideally am looking for a AM/XC bike with full suspension with a fork of 120-140mm. Am quite a small fellow. 5ft 6in... :)

99% of the time it will be used on red trials across the U.K - my normal weekend ride is at cannock chase; however i want the bike to be good enough to be able to attempt maybe a black trial once my skills improve.

Ideally looking to spend 1500; however I will go above that if any one can recommend me something that justifies the extra cost.

Thanks!

Have you looked at the Boardman range?

Do you actually mean All Mountain and cross country, or more a mix of trail and cross country? AM is usually seen as a lot more agressive and wouldn't fit in with XC requirements at all.

to be honest am not sure...... due to the fact am going to spend quite a bit on this bike, i want it to be a jack of all traits however as i mentioned 99% of the time am just hitting red graded trials so I don't want a heavy beast nor do i need anything with forks above 140mm.

I had a look at the boardman and it looks good alot of people also mention the canyon nerve al 7/8

If you're talking UK trail center black runs then 120mm-140mm would be fine.

I'd look at a Giant Trance x2 or x3 from Pauls Cycles which should be in your budget (get a 2011 or 12 model). Also Canyon Nerve.
