News if you are heading out to the French Alps:-

As the highway department battles with 10 meter snow drifts and avalanches on the Cols de l'Iseran and Galibier they will not open as planned. The earliest date for the Galibier (tunnel and col) is now set for the 19th of June. The Iseran will be later.

Is there any chance this might impact the Marmotte?

Bison Futé is good for keeping an eye on current col conditions.

For those relevant to La Marmotte, select Savoie in Département and hit Rechercher.

Marmotte should be fine, one of the big things keeping the cols shut is the risk of avalanche due to the quantity of snow higher up. Until they can be sure the road is safe 24/7 they don't like to open.
