Hopefully if the weather behaves I will be having a few days near Bangor with the bikes, Anybody got any decent routes or towns to head for,
On the list so far are to go down and around the Orme, and go up towards Betsy Coed.
Cheers.

Could try riding around snowdon. Ride up to LLanberis, around to Beddgellert, on to llanrug and back to Bangor. Should be around 100km with 800m of climbing-ish.
Some pleasing quiet country roads on Anglesey as well.
Don't follow the standard route to LLanddudno. It's boring, flat and mostly along the A55. There are plenty of alternative ways up in the hills to get there0 -
I was on holiday near Betws-y-Coed recently and rode this route http://ridewithgps.com/routes/2508173
It may be a bit too far south for you but the hills were spectacular, nothing too steep, but plenty of work.
It was recommended to me by ben16v who I think lives in the area. You might want to PM him for suggestions.Summer - Canyon Ultimate CF SLX 9.0 Team
Winter - Trek Madone 3.5 2012 with UDi2 upgrade.
For getting dirty - Moda Canon0 -
The Etape Eryri route might be useful to you, and you can get a GPS file too:
