My front pads have somehowe closed slightly against the rotor and now are constantly rubbing.
Will bleeding them back them off?

no.
take something clean and use it to push the pads/pistons home and then reset them."Do not follow where the path may lead, Go instead where there is no path, and Leave a Trail."

tried that they wont go any further??0

Yes they will. Try harder. Stick a big screwdriver in (with the pads in) and twist like a big key.
But they should be self adjusting so just ride a bit and see.I don't do smileys.

will doing that with a screwdriver not damage the pads?0

Maybe, that's why you leave them in, cheaper than damaging the pistons. Use an old set if you have some. But I've never damaged mine.I don't do smileys.

Press on the backing of the other pad.
But it does depend a bit on how the pads are retained on the pistons.
Not good on the pin and hook type."Do not follow where the path may lead, Go instead where there is no path, and Leave a Trail."

Which is what my usual have. But use a big mother of a screwdriver and you virtually just push it in - gentle twist if needed. I've never needed much force, just ease them back.I don't do smileys.
