Can anyone shed any light on how to remove this bottom bracket?

There appears to be a notch in the thread - suggesting there should be a tool for it, unfortunately I don't have a lot of information about it, possibly Suntour?

Any information would be a help!

Thank you, Rich.

Yep, one groove on non-drive side, metal thread...

I would be tempted to take cookies to LBS.

    Yep agreed!

If it's only one notch, that would suggest it's one piece and comes out whole like a cylinder, rather than 2 'cups'? Or else it would have a notch on the drive side too?

Thanks for your help by the way.

Not possible. The whole story would have been better at the start.

I would get cleaning the inside of the cups as I think I can see something.

    You'll need a C-spanner as shown in Nicklouse's post
Make mine an Italian, with Campagnolo on the side..

Sorry for showing my ignorance, how does the other side come out - without the notch?

Now that is a first for me.

Got pics of the interesting end? The one with out the slot.

So I can see how much thread is there and stuff.

But it does explain why it does not look concentric in the photos.

What condition are the threads in the BB shell?

It screwed out drive-side, half an inch and then pulled through, with the non drive side having a slightly (not visibly, on first inspection), smaller diameter.

Less thread on the non drive-side.

Threads on the BB shell are in decent nick, didn't take a lot of getting out at all.
