Hey guys,

I wasn't sure where to post this because it doesn't really fit in to Road cycling or Commuting in general. (Although I may use it to commute when I find work!)

I have just sold my CUBE Peloton Road Bike and due to back problems I am looking for a flat bar hybrid bike that I can use to get fit and ride around town.

I have 2 bikes in my sights:-

Charge Grater: http://www.evanscycles.com/products/cha ... e-ec042800

Cheap
Lightweight
Simple bike, easy maintenance
I like the Charge Brand (UK Company etc)
Steel forks
8 Gears

Kona Dew Deluxe: http://www.evanscycles.com/products/kon ... e-ec034478

Disc brakes
More gears than the Charge
Better spec
Good price, reduced due to being 2012 model
Heavier than the Charge

Anyone have experience with either of these bikes?

Cheers

I can't comment on either bike, I'm afraid, but I have ofter seen the Specialized and Giant flat bar bikes recommended in other threads on this forum (do a quick search to find them). I own a Merida Speeder T5 which is (or was) Merida's top of the line flat bar hybrid with 700c wheels and Ultegra gearing - this is a very nice bike, light and fast. Merida also do other models at various price points so they are well worth checking out too. Good luck with whatever you end up with!
