Managed 103 miles today, does this mean that I am no longer a beginner
See ride here http://app.strava.com/activities/59248641 Very happy, hopefully I will get round the London-Surrey 100 in under 7 hours which is my target.

Congratulations. A big milestone!
I did my first hundred miler in December, first 200k in January, First 300 km ride last month and my first 400 km is coming up on Saturday.
I still don't really know how to index and adjust my gears properly although my bodging has improved. So in many ways I still feel like a beginner. But come so far in a year nevertheless.
What constitutes experience can mean many things. And besides, you can still post here to aid 'real' beginners.0 -

With all these riders doing their first 100 milers these days I'll have to do mine ...
OP - nice one - you have the right to feel chuffed - also, like the way you did 103 - just to make sure?!0 -
Nice one mate. Lots of climbing there and on the saddle for so long. I haven't done a 100miles yet and not even done 50 yet but being on the saddle for so long didn't you get kinda bored???0
