Thanks, got a set of 120mm rebas to go on and a new charge spoon (didn't get on with the giant saddle on there now) when I get back to the uk at the end of the month, also look at some superstar nano techs and superstar grips at the same time.0

Nice bike. I had one of these a few years ago. I wish I had kept it, best xc bike I have owned.Transition Patrol - viewtopic.php?f=10017&t=130702350

Well thought best to update this thread as there's been a few more changes now, in fact there's very little that I haven't changed.

Shock: Fox RP2
Wheelset: Mavic Crossride
Brakes: Elixir 7s
Crankset: XT
Front Mech: Top swing XT
Rear Mech: XT

Pretty happy with it now, considering a change of brakes as although I can keep the elixirs quiet, they seem to suffer with a fair amount of fluid expansion meaning plenty of maintenance as they lock on after a period of not being used, so I may go for a shimano set in the future.0 -
Oh my goodness - please don't tell me you actually sit on that saddle?

Considering swapping the rebas for a set of revelations and setting them to either 130 or 140mm0
-
Hardly worth it for 130mm, I would if you are going out to 140mm though.0
-
Wasn't sure which to go to, first job is to find a decent set of forks then add remove spacers as needed. The rebas are good but it bugs me that I've got more travel at the rear currently0
-
The reba is a great fork, you'd need to swap for a decent revelation or similar to make it worth your while, no point getting a longer travel fork that doesn't perform as well as your current one.0
-
-
I'm hoping a set of dual air revs should have similar performance to the rebas but increase the fun0
-
Ended up ordering a new set of 2013 solo air revs but upon opening the box it seems I got a 2014 set.

Also picked up a set of flows rims on switch evo hubs as the cross rides were qr. They are a little heavier than the cross rides (200g front and 100g rear) but this may be down to the tyres that were on them, a minion 2.35 dhf super tacky on the front and 2.2 rubber queen on the rear compared to the 2.1 ADvantages on the cross rides.
Got it all together and this is how she looks

The revs are currently set to 150mm but plan to drop this to 140mm with a new spring assembly in the future. The bottom bracket may be a little high till it get this sorted.
Just need some new rotor bolts for the front as I rounded one fitting the rotors to the cross rides, so I can fit the front rotor on to the flows.0 -
Finally changed the spring shaft in the revs now, pretty easy job and now the foam rings have a little more oil in them too, just need to wait till I've got my car back at the weekend as my shock pump is in the boot.0

Love how the bike has changed over time, looks spot on now! Good workCommencal Ramones Cromo 13 - viewtopic.php?f=10017&t=129269380

Thanks, got a few changes I want to make later in the year such as switching from 3x9 to 1x10 but they can wait for now.0
-
I did the 1x10 conversion and I've been doing some changes too and I've never really kept my thread upto date, wish I had of done now to see how my bike has evolved. You won't regret the 1x10 conversion thoughCommencal Ramones Cromo 13 - viewtopic.php?f=10017&t=129269380

Got the decent camera out today to take a few better pics now I'm finished for now. I'm no photographer so I accept the photos aren't brilliant.

Nothing special, got the latest trance coming so, would of just changed the frame but I fancied going 650b plus I liked the trance anyway, so a full build was an easier option0
