I just don't understand

As a bit of background I run a 2x10 XT chainset with a Blackspire stinger chain guide.
It works PERFECTLY up until about an hour ago...

I removed the whole chainset and gave it a clean.
Then refitted as usual.

Good stuff?...NO!!

Now the chainring bolts on the inside of the larger chainring are rubbing on ONE mounting bolt of the chainguide.

This leaves me asking two questions.

1) WHYYYYYYYY!?!? I haven't touched or knocked anything else.

2) How did it work in the first place?

This has totally baffled me.

Any good advise is gladly welcomed.

Cheers

Take it to bits and put it together again properly.

Did you put a spacer back on the wrong side of the stinger?

Have you pushed the cranks fully into the bb? They sometimes require a whack to seat them.

so what bolt is rubbing on what bolt?

    cranks to far in?
    cranks too far out?

1)you did not read the fitting info.
2)the person who fitted if first did know how to.

The amount that people do this:
I removed the [part name] and gave it a clean.

Is directly proportional to the amount of technicals people have, in my experience!

First of all - Chill. Like you say it worked before it will work again. It's highly likely you have just assembled it slightly differently this time around.
