Looked like two climbers not knowing what to do in such a situation. Made it unbelievably easy for Voeckler. Don't know about Silin, but Seeldraayers should have learned how to deal with this, growing up racing in Flanders...0

Or finds a personality. Mind you, based on previous SPOTY wins it's not something that actually matters that much.0 -

The last two definitely had personalities"I have a lovely photo of a Camargue horse but will not post it now" (Frenchfighter - July 2013)0 -

Thought his Eurosport interview after yesterday was fine. He openly addressed the implications of his TT and MTF performances for the Tour rather than hiding behind cliche: taking every day as it comes. I think if people bother to ask him interesting questions we'll get thoughtful answers. One benefit of Wiggo not being at the tour is we won't have to listen to Froome not answering impossible to answer questions about their relationship....a rare 100% loyal Pro Race poster. The last two definitely had personalities
Just from memory:
Damon Hill, Lennox Lewis, Ryan Giggs, Greg Rusedski (Jesus that must have been a sh*t year), Michael Owen, Nick Faldo, Paula Radcliffe. All real characters0 -
Take the ones out who are dull as dishwater as people I reckon and you get this:
1982 Daley Thompson
1985 Barry McGuigan
1990 Paul Gascoigne
2003 Jonny Wilkinson
2004 Kelly Holmes
2005 Andrew Flintoff
2007 Joe Calzaghe
2012 Bradley Wiggins
...and that's me being generous! cos really you can take Johnny Wilkinson, Kelly Holmes and Joe Calzaghe out of that list
That would leave:
1982 Daley Thompson
1985 Barry McGuigan
1990 Paul Gascoigne
2005 Andrew Flintoff
2012 Bradley Wiggins
...and 3/5 of them like a drink, if you don't like a drink, perhaps you shouldn't be nominated0 -
