Hi,
i got a ribble r872 and it came with the unbranded Headset 1 1/8" - 1 1/2" Hidden 45x45, it only 6 months old and it keeps loosing so i wanted to replace it. ribble tell me that this one is made for the frame. does anybody have a ribble r872 and use a different one. i have had a look and thought a fsa orbit c-40 acb headset would do the job
any help would be great

AFAIK they use a standard Campagnolo-pattern integrated headset. The loosening is more likely due to the steerer bung slipping in the fork - I'd replace that first with a decent quality one like the Deda expander bung which grips well.Make mine an Italian, with Campagnolo on the side..0

yep fuck all wrong with the headset they supply as I use it and its fine
I used the Deda carbon fork expander bung and I've never had to re-tighten mineCrafted in Italy apparantly0 -
cheers, i do have a deda expander.
will have another look0 -
Correctly installed, there's no reason why a headset would lose tension - the main reason I've encountered is slipping bung - try tightening it a bit moreMake mine an Italian, with Campagnolo on the side..0
