Removing Hose From Bottom of Reverb Stealth Seatpost

I'm having an issue with my post dropping on its own so have contacted Canyon about it as it came on a Nerve CF. They have asked me to remove the "cable" from the bottom of the post and send it to them.

Is it that simple? Or will oil piss everywhere?

Also do I need to remove the air pressure first?
