SRAM/Shimano Cassette Compatibility/Interchangability

Hi All,
Firstly, apologies if this has been covered already elsewhere. Did a quick search and while there were a fair few threads covering SRAM/Shimano compatibility none seemed to address my specific query. Think I know the answer but just wanted to run it by some others to check...
Basically I have two road bikes - an 'everyday' one with 105 5700 and a 'posh' one with Force. I'd like to get an extra cassette to put on a spare rear wheel I have for use on the turbo trainer so I can just swap this out rather than faffing around with tyre changes (or more likely not do the workout because I can't be bothered with said tyre change). Ideally I want to be able to do this with both bikes so wanted to check whether there were any compatility issues in using a Shimano cassette with a SRAM group or vice versa.
I'm assuming not as they're both 10spd and I've previously run a SRAM chain on a Shimano group. Just wondering whether there are any pitfalls with derailleur compatibility? Realise setup probably won't be 'optimised' but as it's just for the turbo I'm not too fussed.
Also, any recomendations as to which brand cassette to go for? Will a SRAM cassette work better with a Shimano derailleur than a Shimano cassette will with a SRAM derailleur or is there nothing in it? Will probably end up just being a 4600 cassette anyway as I don't want to spend a fortune!
Cheers!
