Hi,

Interested in understanding what tyre combo's people already have on their rockrider 8.1 to influence what I buy.

Ideally I only really interested in riding red graded trails in the UK more, and as you know the tyres that come with the bike as standard are crap.

Looking for a all season all weather condition tyre.

Thanks.

    Round rubbery ones.
There is nothing that is right for everything, or everyone would be using them - trail centres can vary from mud to rock.
Do a forum search for tyre threads - hundreds of random opinions.
For what it's worth I use Maxxis Ignitors, soft (Exception) compound all year round. Work for me but I don't know anyone else who uses them so....
    I don't do smileys.

As CD says there's hundreds of opinions.

But, whatever you get choose the folding versions, as they are lighter and often better compounds.

In terms of specific options, you wont go too far wrong with Nobby Nics (Pacestar compound NOT performance) or Maxxis Advantage (folding 60a) as reasonable all round choices for trail centrers.

    But there's loads of others!
