Hello all,
I have a new frame that I will run for the start on my Felt's old whr500 wheels.
Nothing exceptional, but good reliable wheels.
I fancied getting some rs30 wheels, ribble have them for £125, but unless I am missing something they appear to ge heavier, around 2000g.
I wouldn't get too hung up on weight, but I struggle to pay money for a heavier item, or is it simply because it's a 'cheap' entry level aero kinda wheel?
I would of course like rs80's but they are £200 more....

Ultegra 6700 wheels are pretty decent if you can't justify the expense of RS80's. 1650g and can usually be found for £230-ish.0

Before buying, this may be of interest to you. It starts of talking about C24s but keep going as it becomes very relevant.

rs30s are heavier because they have a more aerodynamic 30mm rim, but as this is bigger its also heavier, i have used a mix of rs10s and rs20s for my commuter bike and they arent world beaters but i find them great for what i need them for (commuting in all conditions) dont think i'd use them on a 'best' bike though.
i've been looking into ultegra's as i cant really justify they extra £100 for RS80s.www.conjunctivitis.com - a site for sore eyes0
