what chain device for giant reign 2

i bought a giant reign 2 a couple of months ago but notice it has awfull chain slap on the rocky rooty stuff to the extent my chain keeps dropping of or onto the granny ring,I have the tabs at the BB but unsure if its ISCG5 or ISCG old.
will this stop the chain slap??

Either will help with chain retention but it might still be quite noisy. Best off going for a clutch mech IMO. Makes a huge difference to noise levels and a mate has yet to drop a chain on his bike with a triple chainset. I run an xtr and a zee mech and both are superb, really helped with noise. I only run 1x10 but I'm so confident in them I only run a light weight top guide, so for a double or triple a clutch mech on its own should be more than enough IMO.

its a good shout but would cost a few quid for sram clutch mech,its x7 rear mech,2x10 and i dont have the funds to replace the drive train,

Flog your current mech and it'll probably end up no more than the other options and work better as well. The others will only be a part fix and I can't emphasise enough how good the mechs are! I wouldn't have anything else now, made such a difference after I bought my first one I had to get another for my hardtail as the noise did my head in!

probably but its not really that different from my x7.its the type2 that has the clutch mech.
