Okay, okay, so I'd be resisting for many years - if Tom Boonen could win a green jersey on a Campagnolo Record square taper bottom bracket then it was good enough for me! - but finally succumbed and bought an Ultra-Torq Record 11sp chainset for my beloved Colnago C40HP (pic to follow). Got out on it last night (beautiful evening). Don't know if it was me, or the knowledge (surely some psychological benefit) of the upgrade and recent service, but by god it all felt good - tighter, stiffer and nippier. And I had a damned good ride!
