A long shot I know, but is anyone here riding the inauguaral UK Police Unity Tour on 19th - 21st July thisyear?


Come to think of it, has anyone heard of it?

    I only found out about it yesterday. Unfortunately I cant get leave for it!

    In 2009 I did the ride, however I did it organised through West Midlands Police. We stopped at the Gravesend public order facility on the Friday, and 7am on Saturday set off from Central London riding 100 miles to Rugby with a rolling road block to the edge of London. The next day is about 50 miles to Alrewas where there is a reception event. All in I think it was only £70 for two nights sleep, 150 miles cycling and a baggage support.

    The Inaugural UK Police Unity Tour was held on 19th - 21st July 2013 and was a great event. There were approximately 25 riders and 15 support staff.

    Next year's event will be from 18th - 20th July and be riding from London to the National Memorial Arboretum near Litchfield arriving for the annual COPS Survivors weekend.

    Numbers will be limited to 100 riders.

    Every police force in the country will be notified about the event and invited to be represented on the ride.
