So I was thinking about making the step to full sus (again), I'm on a budget but I only want a frame, all the parts on my Sunn would switch over except the odd one or two. I am probably going to have to buy second hand. Any suggestions for a frame to balance 150mm revs? I like to think outside to box...

Trail riding mainly the light end of all mountain? 140mm rear travel would probably be about right. I don't want something so heavy I can't ride it without killing myself. The Scott is really nice! But too small unfortunately.

    what's the budget?

have a look at the santa cruz hecklers, they've recently updated them (slacker head angle) but in their last format (2007 onwards i think) they were great all round bikes (had one ofr 5 years) that could be built up to a beefy all mountain rig or a lighter trail set up (they'll take fork from 140-160).

there are usually a few on e-bay and as they only cost £800-1000 new (depending which year you bought it) i'm pretty sure you would get one at a decent price. also as single pivot, very little to go wrong with them, so older bike is likely to be in half decent nick. santa cruz bearing have got a good rep as well, i never touced mine in 5 years. finally as SC sell a lot of frame onlys, supply is likely to be ok

other than that, some of the old design nuke proof mega's woul;d be worth a look if you can find any

without knowing what you're looking to spend it's hard to say.
