Hello all,

I have just sold my 09 Rize 5. I didnt want to lose anymore money on it and being a full susser without lockouts/pro pedal it wasnt great for commuting. I have a three mile ascent to contend with from my front door on a 6 mile commute (its great on the way home).

I am looking for a hard tail bike with a budget of £2k. I really like the look of the Commencal Ramone Cromo 2013. Looking at the type of bike (HT all mountain) thats the type I want. I do alot of technical trails so the 150mm Fox CTD forks are ideal.

Has anybody got one or does anyone have any recommendations on other bikes?

Thanks in advance.

OnOne 456 Carbon. Grweat value, light, tough. I'd go for an RS Revelation RCT3 though.

You will obviously get better componemts for that money on a hardtail but have you considered a FS with lockout?

Sorry chaps, gone for the Commencal Ramones Cromo 2013. Love the look of the bike. however, my LBS reckon the Ramones and Commencal as a bike are poor, low quality and bad service. I reckon my LBS were saying that just to try and upsell me to a Santa Cruz Chameleon @ £2499. Great bike with a great spec but way over budget.

New bike being delivered Wednesdsay. I'll post some pictures and let you know how it is.

Doesn't seem the best...........Boardman team fs is cheaper, same spec, and 1lb heavier, lol.

Like I say, have just sold a full susser as I prefer a hardtail, Boardmans not an option. Also budget is £2k so I plan to upgrade with the £600 by getting the shifters, fr/rr mech, crank and bb upgraded. Soon enough I will get the wheels upgraded also. The weight doesnt really matter, I'm not racing and I'm 17st, I don't think two or three pounds makes a missive difference to my riding.

    Thanks anyway chaps
