Recon 29 uppers

I have some rockshox recon 29 gold tk 100mm with tapered steerer, unfortunately the stanchions are pretty scratched so I am on the hunt for some new ones. These aren't the easiest parts to come by, especially second hand right now, I have read though that 26" recon uppers will work just reduced travel by 30mm, I was therefore wondering if a set of sektor or revelation 26" uppers would work in recon 29" lowers for 100/120 travel

Also does anyone know the length of the original stanchions in these forks?

I have found a set of 2010 140mm recon solo air 335's, will the uppers (or uppers and internals) from these fit into my 29er recon golds?

You could look at the tech docs on the Sram site. I have my doubts.
