Like a previous poster. Is it better just buying a new chainset (Campag Athena Alloy) or replacement bearings for a Campag Chorus Carbon chainset ?? - Have a Colnago Saronni and i like the retro look of an alloy chainset. Cheapest ive found the chainset is £140 ...dunno what replacement bearings and bikeshop labour.

The campag chorus bottom brackets are £50 on Ribble, the bike shop should be able to replace it for about £10-£15 labour. Or you could buy the tools to do it yourself, pretty easy job.0

Likely that the chainset is Ultratorque, then new bearings are £20 and your LBS will charge about the same again to fit.
The bearings are press-fitted to the crank spindle.
If by chance the chainset is the old-style Chorus carbon with cartridge BB, these are still available too as previous poster stated.Make mine an Italian, with Campagnolo on the side..0
