Bianchi Sempre problem

About 3 weeks ago I noticed a knocking noise coming from my Bianchi Sempre that after a lot of inspection and dismantling of the bike it appears to be coming from where the chainstay and seatstay meet. There is a small bolt that joins them together and there is a little play as if this is loose. I don't want to start messing about with it until I can get further advice from LBS but they are closed until Tuesday has anyone else experienced this? Thanks

Do you mean the derailleur hanger bolt? This can work loose from vibration

No. At first I thought it was rear wheel as it had side to side play. It happened again with a different wheel in. I had a look at the rear of the bike and if I grip the seat and chain stays I can feel movement between them. There is a small bolt that has a 3mm hex head where they meet and I am unsure if this is causing the problem.

    Appreciate for any help.

I have the same bike. Looked and cannot find anything loose on mine. If in doubt, take it to a LBS.

Thanks for the reply. It's a great bike so hope it's not a frame issue.

I used to have a Bianchi Sempre which had the same problem, drove me up the wall for months. Sorted by using Loctite on the screw. If you tighten it up without Loctite it will just work itself lose again over a couple of weeks.

Thanks njd37. Cleaned bolts slapped on some loctite and problem sorted.
