I'm proud to announce a brand new Sportive, starting and finishing in Basingstoke.
The Ride of the Boiled Owls is a 210km 'Gran fondo' event taking in some of the most stunning scenery we have yet to imagine. It will comprise of 4 laps of Basingstoke town, finishing at 112 Baird Avenue where there will be post ride entertainment in the form of live music from local band The Fartz and a meat fondue.
Entry is £55 per rider to include a free energy wipe and cycling themed sweatband.

This meat fondue thing - will it involve owl meat? I'm quite partial to owl, though would prefer some otter if that's possible. Also is there electronic timing?0

Can the route be changed so that it just leaves Basingstoke? I have always found leaving Basingstoke to be my favourite bit when visiting.0
