But DOF is not from postprocessing. It is captured with Nikon D700 (FX) and Nikkor 35mm f/1.4.
The D700 is a great camera, you should try Capture One Pro (60-day trial available from http://www.phaseone.com/en/Imaging-Software/Capture-One-Pro-7.aspx It gives equal or better image quality than NX2 with a much better workflow and faster processing. And you can run all your other RAW/ jpeg/ tiff images through it if you like
