Awake watching a selection of stand up comedy videos, then work. joy.

Today will also include a trip to the bike shop for a new gear cable* but then do I buy the cutting tool or get the shop to fit it...

I would get them to do it, but I'm lazy when it comes to bike maintenance. My bike is also at the doctors today for new shifters and wheels - so a cheap day then :(

Today is an insurance and tax day - yeah

Need to get out on the bike more. Went to put my other bike jeans on and they are a wee bit tighter than they should be. Too many beers are starting to take their toll.

Fine sunny morning here so hopefully it will last and I can get out on the bike tonight.

In the meantime, more work drudgery.

    Later......

    Mornin' exes and double-exes

P**s-wet through having ridden into work - not looking forwards to the journey home , neither! Gotta love the British summer!

Work today will be bitty, and full of training for other people, who seem not to be grasping the enormity of what they have to to. Chumps. Still, give it two more days and they will not be my monkeys, and it'll not be my circus. Win.

Contemplating playing bikes at the weekend, but it'll have to be Sunday, as Saturday will be spent getting the wagon MOT'd. So, that'll possibley be me spending some coin! .....only not on bikes, which is just wrong, especially as I could do with some new shorts!

Onwards! To caffiene! And avoding any meaningful work!

    What day is it again?

Day off today but the landlord is coming round at 2.30 to talk about putting a new window in. As I couldn't give a s#*t about a new window, I requested to meet at a different time so as to not ruin said day off. They said no. Knts.

    Whatever.

    Morning everyone.

Got my daily bike ride done already, was pretty good but not too long. Got £10 for servicing a mates bike. Good start to the day already! Rest of the day will probably be revision...hopefully.

That's contradiction and dissagreement, not proper 'arguementative'.

    Put some effort in, lad!

Minging today. Had to crawl home early from work as I have..something. So I have mostly spent the morning a sweaty mess zonked out watching vids on pinkbike and smashing lemsip into me. Joy. Hoping to be recovered for some riding at the weekend as the weather is meant to be improving and I need to get fit for the mondraker gravity enduro thingy in July.

Currently debating if i should ride today or wait for the nice weather tomorrow, tough calls.

On other news today, HR have provided completel junk information which im chasing throughfor payroll, there really good normally honest... (as in i've never had correct info from them once)

but all is good in the world while i consider what to do about a roof over the head.

You're not one of my lesser minions, are you? I've had to send one home today as he was falling asleep on the job, and said he'd been up all night throwing up.

    Live in your car?

In charge in work for the next two weeks. This is a scary prospect as in the first morning I have already had to display management skills and organise stuff. I am currently having to deal with attitude from someone elses minion who doesn't like me and has accused me of bullying her previously. Because asking someone to do their job correctly is bullying now.

Bridezilla and the mothership are still fighting it out about wedding stuff and wedding planners. I'm sitting on the sidelines throwing in unhelpful comments to stir up some arguments every now and again.

Two weeks 'til Isle of Wight festival and a weekend of drinking and drunkenness, while dressed as characters from 'Where's Wally'. It cannot come quickly enough!

    1) I learnt a long time ago that there's no cure for being a cnut. Face your destiny.
    2) Simple contradiction, again. No 'smiley face' sticker for Mr NoTail.

Is any of this helping to get it out your system?

    It isn't I'm afraid.

I may have to resort to plan-B, sneaking round and loosening peoples QR skewers while they're not looking.

Today I am mostly being argumentative for the sake of it.

I'm in this mood too. It's really starting to p1ss people off but that's their problem for speaking to me. Tossers.

    Afternoon bumders

Today involved being told about "business" AKA common sense by some areshole, followed by various personality and crap tests. Turns out I'm an angry person. This isn't entirely true, still, it probably shows the tests were working right at the time.

Since then there's been LOTS of faffing about trying to find out how up to date with vaccinations I am and whether or not I can have/need a BCG vaccine given I'm "at risk". As much as I love the idea of the NHS it's a bloody joke at times

Also some of the information and advice I was given was just plain wrong which is kind of worrying  The irony that I've now got to go to hospital when I'm supposed to be off TB testing cows isn't lost on me at all…
