Mrs P's bike is a flat barred Condor with 105 front and rear mech and thumb shifters in a 3 x 9 setup with an ultegra chainset.

She has very small hands and is struggling to change gear on the front mech.

What thumb shifters would be best for the lightest shift?

I have these on my flat bar Sirrus:

and they are easy to shift and happen to be on special offer at CRC at the moment. Just a thought though, at one time I routed the cable incorrectly at the front mech by putting it the wrong side of the tab next to the clamping screw. Still worked but made it really hard to shift.

how new is the bike? greasing the front shifter cable that is in the outer may help if it's seen some use, as would some penetrating oil / wd40 on the front mech - it may be stiff

The bike is a few years old but it's hardly been out in the rain (Mrs P is solar powered)

I thought of changing the inner cable to one of the super smooth jagwire cables and I'll lubricate the levers when I do it.

Ok, new jagwire inner and a bit of outer, a squirt of WD40, a shiny crimp and a clean with an oily rag.

I've made sure the cable run is correct too. :)

I think it's a little better but I'll tell Mrs P it's perfect (I'm sure a bit of psychology works as well as WD40)

I'll have to wait until it stops raining before Mrs P will try it.
