Argyle 318 travel increase?

Seen the forums for lowering argyles from 100mm to 80mm about. Ive got 80mm argyles on my revell and it feels a bit low. Is it possible to do the reverse of the lowering process to get the travel up to 100mm by taking spacers out??

Do they come standard with spacers in or will I just have to open them up and have a look?
