been looking closely at these 2 bikes:

Ridley frame, good chainset, ultegra apart from the brakes which are a slight let down, but could be replaced with ultegras for approx £100, fulcrum 7s, 4za bits

or just keep it simple and 105

not as good chainset, but 105 elsewhere

or a Ribble R872

R872 Ultegra - £1600
can decide on ultegra with the same fulcrum wheels and similar finishing kit

R872 Centaur - £1505
all carbon lovelyness, fulcrum 7's, concern over access to servicing and know how re the gruppo

special edition bikes at Ribble drop the price a bit but carp wheels with the ultegra, slightly better with centaur build

R872 Ultegra / r501 wheels - £1450 or Centaur £1390 with khasim red/black
