SLX Vs Deore brake weight

Need a new set of brakes and am looking at the Shimano Deore M596 from Merlin, only thing putting me off is the weight but I can find the weight of both.
On here SLX is 485g: http://www.bikeradar.com/mtb/gear/categ ... s-12-45311
and the Deore is 490g: http://www.bikeradar.com/mtb/gear/categ ... e-12-46008
I'm guessing the weights are incorrect as 10g difference seems a little low, can anyone confirm the brake weights for me please

Could be correct. Don't SLX have cooling fins and tool free reach adjustment. That may add a bit of weight. They are also £30 more.Planet X Kaffenback 2

Weighed some 596 Deores this week. They came to 290 or so grams each end after cutting the hose to lenght. This included lever, hose, caliper and pads but not the rotor.0
