Wheel/Freehub woes

Alright dudes, my Pro II stopped clicking about two weeks ago, after another couple of rides it was taking a while for the drivechain to engage (spinning the cranks about half a rotation before I would move). Now when I pedal the cranks move, but it doesn't engage at all (drivechain spins - I go nowhere).
I assume I need a new freehub body?
Also seeing as i've heard of all these eaten Hope freehub's due to using the wrong one, do I go for the alloy or steel one?
Cheers

Sounds like the springs have gone.
Pull it off and have a look."Do not follow where the path may lead, Go instead where there is no path, and Leave a Trail."

The majority of that is just people whinging that their shiny gold freehub now has some signs of use on it. If you're always going to use cheaper, non-spidered, cassette, or singlespeed, then a steel may be better long-term though.0
