In case you were not aware of it today has seen massive rallies across the globe in protest at corporate gangsters Monsanto.

Monsanto are trying to patent your very food supply. In the US they can only legally patent the plants they have genetically modified - the seeds of the modified plants they then sell to farmers.

Because of the patent, farmers then have to buy new seeds from Monsanto every year, they, teh farmers, cannot legally regrow the seeds next season as they have done for thousands of years.

Just the other month a farmer in the US was threatened with imprisonment for purchasing, unknowingly, seeds from a local store.

And don't mention bees

This is from an american website, so many of the products will be unfamiliar with many - but if you can don't buy any of the below -

Worse still - some of the seed varieties are hybrid and will not re-produce when re-planted the following year.

Monsanto have been taken to court over their part in the production of Agent Orange and the following illnesses and deaths to the people who worked on the stuff.

Do you think that the average British citizen is aware of this or actually gives a toss?

HSBC - currently funding the destruction of the rainforest in Borneo. We don't get any of this news on mainscream media as the Beeb and ITV pander to the naval gazing Dailly Heil brigade. We in the UK spend so much time looking up our own 4rses.
