That's help me not to spend any more please. So far this week have bought a new bike, seatpost, seat, tyres, tube, grips.

If I put another post up then I'd appreciate someone telling me to STOP buying things.

Cheers.

One of my biggest blunders was signing up for the newsletters from wiggle/ribble/px et al :)

I think the real question we've got to ask here, as you're posting in the road section, is why are you buying grips?

Simple - put the stuff on your new bike and RIDE IT!

    Road - Dolan Preffisio
    MTB - On-One Inbred

I have no idea what's going on here.

    Lol. Some answers.

    Hifi gets plenty of attention.

Currently unemployed, doing a bit of freelance whilst trying to set up a website as a headphone retailer, a big mortgage and maintenance on 2 boys, hence no money to spend on damn bikes!

Grips you ask. I have a hybrid and a single speed now, I will get a road one day when I can afford it.

And I was wondering where this post had gone, wrong section!

And I'm waiting for the seat and seatpost to arrive but have ridden at least 10 miles a day every day this week except today as I had to drive to collect the nipper. Roll on some sunshine!

Chapeau! I doubt I'd make it to the end of the street without a seat or seatpost on my bike, so 10 miles daily would be a tough assignment..

Fat lot of use you lot are, just put a bid in on a hardly used, very nice, road bike. Well it's done now, that wine could prove to be expensive especially with a 7 hour round trip to collect the bugger thrown in.

You could always sell the grips to make up a little of the deficit :D

    You'll love it!

Cycling is cheap compared to sailing. Spent £11k this year so far and the season is only just starting.

Serious point - get a job that pays something, then set your business up on the side. New business ventures are about 5 times more likely to succeed when they are hobby/sidelines converted to full time rather than start-ups from zero.
