Afternoon all,

Well the time has come to purchace the new bike as it appears the chain/cassette on the cheap appollo are finally calling it a day. (after hammering it down hamsterley etc for the last year and a bit - so i've had good milage out of it)

After some good advice from here I had decided to go for the carrera kraken but while I was going to reserve the bike there is a 10% discount on the Voodoo bikes. After thinking it over I had reserved the Hoodoo. When I called the store to confirm that they had my reservation and were going to set it up they informed me that it was the display model.

So here's where I would like some advice. Do I go for the display model Hoodoo not knowing how long it has been sat in the store collecting dust/dirt etc, or do I go for the new boxed kraken that I was originally going for?

I'd go for the Voodoo, a bike sitting in a shop isn't going to pick up much dirt compared to riding it! Actually, I'd ask for a bit more off. Say you'll buy it for £400. They can only say no.

The fact it's ex-display is irrelevant really (unless you can get a discount?)

However, the 2013/14 model has just become available at the same price, so may be worth comparing the specs.
