New brake pad thickness?

Hiya folks, While doing some checks on my bike have noticed the pad thickness is down to 1mm, Hayes stroker carbon, and was wondering what the thickness is on a new pad and if I need to change.

It's a fine line. About 2-3 mm. Go as long as you dare.

I doubt new pads are more than a mill or so. Never 3mm

I think Shimano recommend replacing at 0.5 to 0.9mm

I just replace once it feels crap.
