Routes Near York

Hi

I'm off to York for the bank holiday weekend and wondered if anyone could recommend a good route in the area. Either xc or trail centre I'm not fussed.

    Closest trail centre will be Dalby forest which is 34 miles away and will cost £7/per car to park at the visitors centre,might be a bit muddy in places tho due to the rain,as for routes you have the North York Moors and the Dales on the doorstep which you can find plenty of routes for with a bit of googling.

    There are also nice X-country in the Wolds - even nearer to York, but less wild.

    Edit - oops sorry, wasn't the Bank Holiday weekend last weekend?, so I didn't reply in time - sorry, we don't get the bank holiday up here.

    Thanks to all who replied. Its been a long time since I had been to York and I had forgotten how flat the terrain is there. No wonder I couldn't find any MTB trails.

    Our camp site was right next to a cycle path that runs from York to Selby so we just had a ride along that, which was great.
