Wheels

Hello all, I've decided to dust off my Allez sport 2010, which has done less than 500 miles in all that time (shocking I know). I'm looking to upgrade my wheels from the standard Alex s500's that it comes with. My budget is no more than £250 for both.
Any ideas will be appreciated

Is there something about those wheels that is troublesome?
Yes, upgraded wheels is something that gets much attention and discussion, but just having better wheels is not going to make riding enjoyable if it isn't with the current wheels.
What has caused the lack of interest in riding ? If comfort is the problem then maybe items like: shoes, gloves, shorts, bar tape, saddle, etc. might be a better investment.

Few options for that price.
First question, how much do you weigh.
Few options are:

All get good write ups. My personal preference out of those three would be the Fucrums.0 -

^^ Common sense. 500 miles in 3 years is hardly breaking the wheels in, if you seriously want to upgrade then ride the flipping bike.0 -
This forum is a shocking place for GAS. It doesn't take me long to read through a few posts then convince myself I need to get some new shiny things. Trouble is, when people have money to spend, and spending it on bike things makes them feel good, they really don't want to be told to ride more till things wear out, even though this is really the sensible thing to do!

I weigh 79kg.
Lack of time on the bike is due to work commitments, I normally spend 4-6 months a year out the country a year so every time I get back on the bike its kind of like I've never ridden one before, which is frustrating. I've always been a keen runner from an early age, however, due to an injury it doesn't look like ill be running properly until the end of the year at least, and I'm not going away with work any time soon so this looks like a perfect opportunity to get bike fit.
I was thinking today, and some of your replies have made me decide that I'm not even going to replace a thing until I've done 1000 miles. Fair enough?
Thanks everyone for giving me a reality check- speak in a 923 miles!0 -

I've heard good things - they do three different wheel sets in your budget.

I paid 110 for a used set of 1600g Ultegra wheels on ebay and they're great, but you'll need a ten speed cassette to fit their hub as the splines are deeper. If you have 8 or 9 speed you need to ensure your cassette will fit any wheels you're looking at.http://www.strathspey.co.uk - Quality Binoculars at a Sensible Price.
