A new fork that has too short a stem? I'm confused. How about a picture of bike and fork?0

Basically no, can you exchange the fork for one with a longer steerer?0
-
No - you need to get a fork with sufficient protruding steerer to accommodate your spacers and stem. You might be able to use an steeply angled stem if you have enough steerer protrudingMake mine an Italian, with Campagnolo on the side..0

Is it like this at the mo?
Definitely new?

Sorry, to clarify, the fork is new to me, but is in fact from an ex-demo Ribble bike.

Bought it discounted as It was ex-demo, but in mint condition. Not the end of the world if I cant fit an extension, ill just sell it on. Cant resist a bargain, so was worth a punt....... Probably should have checked the steerer length, but Hein sight is a wonderful thing. As is ordering bike parts after a few beers0 -
