I've recently purchased a New CF fork (1 1/8), but the steerer is about 60mm shorter than I need it to be.

Is there something I can buy to give it the extra length i need? The actual steer is carbon fibre.....

The fork in question: Deda Nero RC

A new fork that has too short a stem? I'm confused. How about a picture of bike and fork?
  • Basically no, can you exchange the fork for one with a longer steerer?

No - you need to get a fork with sufficient protruding steerer to accommodate your spacers and stem. You might be able to use an steeply angled stem if you have enough steerer protruding
Make mine an Italian, with Campagnolo on the side..

Sorry, to clarify, the fork is new to me, but is in fact from an ex-demo Ribble bike.

Bought it discounted as It was ex-demo, but in mint condition. Not the end of the world if I cant fit an extension, ill just sell it on. Cant resist a bargain, so was worth a punt....... Probably should have checked the steerer length, but Hein sight is a wonderful thing. As is ordering bike parts after a few beers
