10 speed chainring

24T granny ring has gone on my 2x10 XT crankset (M785) and need to replace.

only place i can find the 'right' one for that crankset is from one of the german site (see link) at £23 incl p&p

can anyone see any reason why i couldn't just use the below 24T ring off an XT 3x10 and therefor save myself £10??

    None at all.....or a 9speed or an 8speed for that matter for an inner.
    Currently riding a Whyte T130C, X0 drivetrain, Magura Trail brakes converted to mixed wheel size (homebuilt wheels) with 140mm Fox 34 Rhythm and RP23 suspension. 12.2Kg.
