Frame down the lamppost

Did a really stupid thing and leant the bike against a lamp post, the inevitable happened when I turned away, the bike slid down the post, scratching the top tube, it scraped off about 5mm of the finishing coat of paint exposing what I assume is the carbon, the question is do I leave it as is or is there something like a clear lacquer I can apply, but I don't whant to make it look worse than it is. Probable no one else would even notice it but when it's yours you see it every time the bike is used.
Any advice from someone whose done a similar thing would be much appreciated.
