Pivot Mach 5.7 Carbon or Alu?

Hey guys, I saved enough cash for a Mach 5.7 Alu with the most basic build(XT/SLX). I already demoed the alu but not the carbon version, and did not managed to demo it with success. Should I save up more for the carbon? My bike will eventually be upgraded to high end(xtr etc) components when things wear out. It would take me quite sometime to save more as I am still in highschool. I am not so concerned about the weight factor, I am more concerned about the suspension efficiency, stiffness and comfort. Does the carbon version have a significant increase in those factors? Tell me about your opinions. Another thing, this is my first full sus mtb, should i really be spending so much? Any recommendations for entry level bikes with similar ride is appreciated. Thanks everyone!
