Replacing chain?

Hi all,
I'm looking at replacing my chain, on the crank it say's use HG-X chain only and on the front derailleur it says Dyna-Sys.
Both front & back derailleurs are XT M780
Can I assume this is the chain i need http://www.wiggle.co.uk/shimano-dyna-sy ... eed-chain/ or this chain http://www.wiggle.co.uk/shimano-10-speed-hg-x-chain/ (is the 2nd chain a better spec) both are 116 rings which i assume i need.
Is there any other alternatives or should i stick with Shimano?
Any help appreciated.

Any 10-spd chain will do. Obviously Shimano would prefer you only to use their own HG-X chains though. KMC and Connex are better imo.0

thanks for the reply as i wasn't sure.
if was to choose an alternative brand, would the best thing to do choose a 116 ring and just use a chain splitter to match the no. of rings on my current chain if they aren't the same length.0 -
Yep, chains come in standard lengths that you then have to shorten to fit your bike. See the faqs, or Park Tools website, for how to measure the right chain length.0
